Our Mission is to keep our customers’ homes safe, secure and well maintained – it’s what we do.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrician to join our friendly team in Newcastle and work on Riverside Housing stock in the North East Region.

Salary: Up to £39,101.18
22 days’ annual leave, plus 8 UK bank holidays
A company van for business use
A mobile phone for business use
Multifunction Tester
Company uniform and PPE
A defined contribution pension scheme
Maternity, Paternity and Adoption leave with enhanced pay (subject to eligibility)
Access to wellbeing benefits, such as our Employee Assistance Programme, Staff Groups and The Workplace Trust

The difference you’ll make

You’ll play a crucial role ensuring that our customers’ homes are safe and compliant.
You’ll share our passion for delivering an excellent service for our customers and will be able to plan and organise your work to ensure that all jobs are completed safely and efficiently.
Teamwork is an essential part of this role, and there’s an expectation that our colleagues share best practice and provide support to each other in order to meet the common goals of the team. You’ll also actively seek out new ways to add value and take our performance to the next level.

So, who are you?

We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in electrical maintenance and testing, who has a sound understanding of the principles of testing, inspecting and fault finding.
You’ll also need:
· A City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
· A City & Guilds and 17th / 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
· A City & Guilds 2394 / 2392 / 2391 or equivalent testing and inspection qualification
You’ll be fully equipped with your own hand and power tools, have a full UK driving licence, and ideally have experience of driving a van.
Customer satisfaction is our absolute priority, so you’ll be able to achieve a high quality of workmanship while working on your own or as part of a team.
You’ll have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable managing the expectations of our customers and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Respiratory Protective Equipment will be provided for this role, so the successful candidate must be clean shaven.
If there are circumstances where it is not appropriate for an employee to be clean shaven (e.g., medical conditions or religious grounds), the company will ensure that adjustments are in place to accommodate protected characteristics.
Although not essential, experience within the social housing sector would be an advantage.
We’re asking a lot from our new Electrician, but this is a job that offers true satisfaction with the chance to help keep our customers’ homes safe, secure and well maintained.
If you’re the kind of person that wants to do a really great job and make a difference to our customers and colleagues, we think you’ll love it here.
We recognise that our colleagues are our greatest asset and want every single person to feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work. We encourage diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all our colleagues.
