We are seeking skilled and experienced Electricians to join our dynamic team based out of our Neath office.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Install HV equipment such as Power transformers (up to 400kV), Earth Switches, Disconnectors, CTs, Protection panels, Battery chargers, SCADA panels, etc., within new or existing substations to ensure compliance with DNO/IDNO specifications.
  • Wiring of protection panels and substations.
  • Installation and maintenance of switchgear from low voltage up to 400kV, including GIS.
  • Install and maintain various cable containment systems, including tray and ladder.
  • Install, gland, terminate, and test Steel Wire Armoured (SWA) cables.
  • Perform wiring and electrical work within control panels.
  • Conduct electrical testing and fault finding to ensure system reliability.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members, engineers, and project managers.
  • Perform a range of industrial and commercial HV and LV electrical maintenance and installation works.
  • Promote a positive safety culture, ensuring all safety rules and procedures are followed by staff and contractors.
  • Operate according to the Company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards, complying with risk assessments, method statements, and safe working procedures.
  • Maintain good communication with clients, colleagues, and others affected by your work.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environment, and quality policies, procedures, and standards at all times.
Skills And Experience
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.
  • Strong understanding of safe systems of work within a substation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • DNO experience or experience with installation of 11KV switchboards, transformers, RMUs, etc.
  • Electrical testing and inspection experience is desirable.
  • Experience planning, organizing, and undertaking maintenance on HV networks to meet customer requirements, following safety and maintenance standards.
