Electrician

EQUANS is looking for an Electrician to join our team in Salford on a permanent basis, this will be based in Manchester at Trafford Palazzo - this is for our Peel Group contract. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview:

We have an opportunity available for a static based Resident Electrician on the Peel L&P owned and managed Venus. The role would involve carrying out planned maintenance activities and reactive works on site. Excellent customer service skills are required for this site.

Duties:

1. Complete all statutory and non-statutory PPM in accordance with annual PPM planners and task instruction sets and customers SLA's & KPI's.
2. Ensure all site logbooks are kept up to date with the relevant information and certification.
3. Identify maintenance needs and produce technical reports on equipment.
4. Respond & repair any reactive calls raised through the dedicated EQUANS Service desk and provide relevant task information to the Administration team to ensure all jobs are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer and within the Service Level Agreements (SLA).
5. Read, understand and work to generic site PPM risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), completing any additional RAMS for any large works not covered or a point of work general risk assessments for smaller tasks.
6. Complete all works to a high standard and to EQUANS quality procedures.
7. Supervise/escort subcontractors whilst on site ensuring they follow site security procedures, ensuring work to their RAMs and within EQUANS safe working procedures.
8. Participate in the emergency call out rota on the estate and, following a reasonable request, be available to work overtime to accommodate site requirements.
9. Timely completion of all company forms and statutory documentation, including record keeping and technical reporting.
10. Comply with the requirements of the Company's Policies and Procedures.
11. Assist other members of the team where multi person tasks are required.
12. Wear company uniform at all times and be of a smart and presentable appearance.

Complexity:

The customer Peel Land & Property is an ISO 50001 accredited company and 11 of their properties including the Princes Dock Estate have just become the first in the UK to achieve Net Zero Carbon status. Working in partnership with Peel L&P, the onsite team is committed to reducing the estates CO2 emissions in conjunction with our Energy Manager without compromising on the operation of the day-to-day activities. Understanding and aligning plant operation and maintenance activities to achieve them.

Qualifications or Required Experience:

1. NVQ Levels 2 & 3 Electrical Installation.
2. Qualified to BS7671 18th Edition Regulations.
3. City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Test.
4. Inspection and Testing of electrical equipment (PAT testing) BS2377 (not essential).
5. Asbestos awareness (preferable but not essential).
6. IPAF Powered Access Licence (preferable but not essential).
7. PASMA (preferable but not essential).
8. First aid trained (preferable but not essential).
9. Be computer literate, including operation of Handheld PDA.
10. Maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment.
11. Fault finding and diagnosis of HVAC equipment.
12. Operation and interrogation of BMS.
13. Understanding of fire protection systems.
14. Understanding of Plumbing systems.
15. Excellent customer service skills.
