Qualifications

• Minimum of NVQ level 2 in PSV/HGV maintenance and repair or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience in repair and maintenance of PSV/HGV accepted without formal qualification.
• Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical.

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards.
• Ensure vehicle reliability and perform electric fault diagnosis.
• Conduct MOT preparation and planned preventative maintenance.

As a PSV Electrician, your role would involve carrying out planned and preventative maintenance along with diagnostic fault finding and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated buses, to the strict standards set by both Arriva, and the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency).

Tuesday - Saturday day shifts

The role will involve:

Servicing, maintenance, and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards

Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability

Auto (PSV) electrics and electric fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards

MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns, and quality checks

Shift Structure:

Day shift: Tuesday - Saturday

Requirements:

Electrical circuits and systems knowledge

Qualifications for PSV/HGV maintenance and repair - Minimum of NVQ level 2 or any equivalent international qualification (will require confirmation)

If you are not qualified, applications may be considered from candidates with at least 5 years’ experience in repair and maintenance of PSV/HGV

Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical
