Job Description:

The key responsibilities and duties of the Electrician include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform detailed inspections of electrical systems in aircraft landing gear assemblies
  • Fabrication of wire harnesses and mechanical sub-assemblies
  • Repair or replace faulty wiring and other electrical components
  • Diagnose electrical faults or failures using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to determine root causes of issues
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and interpret requirements
  • Carry out preventive maintenance to extend the lifecycle of electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records per MRO and regulatory standards
  • Ensure compliance with EASA/FAA and company safety procedures
  • Work with MRO, engineering, and QA teams
  • Support and train junior technicians
  • Provide AOG/on-wing support when needed

You should meet the following requirements:

  • Diploma, ‘A’ Level or equivalent qualification in an electrical engineering subject would be desirable
  • An Aerospace apprenticeship would be desirable
  • Minimum 2+ years aircraft build/production experience
  • Math’s and English GCSE A-C Grades equivalent
  • Strong aerospace experience in an electrical role
  • Essential background in prototype, panel, or aircraft wiring
  • Skilled with aviation-standard tools
  • Knowledge of wiring techniques and equipment (Boeing SWPM/SOPM a plus)
  • Familiar with SAP (desirable)
  • Understanding of legislative and quality system requirements (training provided if needed)
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and a flexible approach to work
  • Rotating shifts: Monday–Friday (06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00)
