Job summary

Quartzelec is seeking an experienced Electrician to join the Utilities North team, working across the North West of England. You will carry out electrical installation, maintenance and fault-finding to a high standard within a busy, growing organisation.

The role welcomes applicants with an NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent and 18th Edition knowledge; DNO authorisations are advantageous. Experience in utilities is helpful but not essential; safety and quality are priority.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent is required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification is preferred.
• DNO authorisations are advantageous but not essential.
• Experience as an electrician in relevant environments is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, testing and fault-finding activities.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely.
• Be proficient in installing containment systems such as Trunking, Tray and Ladder.
• Complete planned and reactive electrical works to a high standard.
• Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and company procedures.
• Demonstrate good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Experience within the utilities sector would be advantageous, but it is not essential. We are also keen to hear from electricians with experience in other relevant environments who have strong technical skills, a professional approach and a commitment to working safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, testing and fault-finding activities.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely.
• Be proficient in installing containment systems such as Trunking, Tray and Ladder.
• Complete planned and reactive electrical works to a high standard.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current electrical regulations and company procedures.
• A recognised electrical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification. (Required but not essential)
• DNO authorisations (Required but not essential)
• Relevant experience working as an electrician.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
