Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Southern seeks an Electrician for an ongoing temporary position in Littlehampton. You will perform electrical installations and repairs on a site, ensuring work meets safety and quality standards.

Applicants must hold ECS and CSCS cards and have relevant experience in social housing or residential builds. IPAF is preferred but not essential; you will work to BS 7671 and may undertake EICRs as required.

Qualifications

• IPAF knowledge is a nice-to-have for site access and equipment operation.
• Experience with electrical installation and on-site wiring tasks.
• ECS and CSCS cards are required or strongly preferred for site compliance.
• Familiarity with 18th edition wiring regulations and testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day repairs on electrical installations on site.
• Deliver planned or responsive electrical works and ensure timely completion.
• Test and sign off completed works to required standards.
• Undertake EICRs in domestic properties and apply BS 7671 standards.

The company:
A well-established Main contractor whosefocus is New Build Residential Houses & Apartment as well as refurbishedproperties.

The role:
As the site Electrician you will be responsible for completing a range electrical work building clean rooms.

Responsibilities

• Responsive working - day to day repairs on electrical installations
• Deliver electrical planned or responsive works, repair works on time within given priorities and strive for repairs to be a first-time fix.
• Testing and sign off completed works.
• Will need to be able to undertake EICR's in Domestic properties. Be fully conversant with 18th edition Wiring Regulations

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Previously a registered apprentice or undergone some equivalent method training and have had adequate practical training in electrical installation work.
• Must have obtained Achievement Measurement 2 and a qualified Electrician with relevant experience in social housing.
• Qualifications to include City & Guilds 2391, City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 and 2 or 2351 or 2330 levels 2 and 3 or approved equivalent or NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installation Work or approved equivalent.
• Not essential but desirable to have achieved or are in the process in achieving their City & Guilds 2394 or 2395 in initial verification, certification, periodic inspection & testing of electrical installations or approved equivalent.
• Demonstrates practical knowledge and competence working as an electrician in the current edition of BS:7671 and inspection, testing and commissioning of installations.
