Job summary

Yorkshire Housing is seeking qualified Electricians to service Leeds and surrounding areas. You will perform a range of electrical tasks, from fixed wire testing to installations, in both empty and occupied properties, ensuring quality certification and clear reporting.

Qualifications

• Must have City & Guilds Level 3 (or recognised equivalent) in electrical installation.
• City & Guilds 2382 (18th edition) qualification required.
• NVQ in Electrical/ECES and AM2 Certification; 2391-51 testing qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Undertake electrical workstreams including fixed wire testing (EICRs), remedials, repairs and alterations.
• Carry out rewiring in both vacant and occupied properties and provide certification and reports.
• Work collaboratively with trades, administrators and suppliers; represent Yorkshire Housing professionally.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll undertake all electrical workstreams which include Fixed wire testing (EICR’s), associated remedials, electrical repairs & alterations to existing fittings and fixtures, rewiring partial or full properties, including inspection and testing and the provision of certification and reporting on the condition of electrical components and equipment, planned installs such as lighting upgrades and heating upgrades. This will take place in both in empty and occupied properties.

You’ll be using your own personal initiative, problem-solving any smaller issues on-site, but also be working as a key player in a bigger team. Also, you’ll work closely with other trades, as well as administrators and suppliers. You’ll be the face of Yorkshire Housing to many of our tenants. So, respectful, warm and professional communication is a key part of this role.

You'll also need a valid UK driving licence. This is a mobile role, so you'll be travelling around Yorkshire, however we'll try to allocate work locations based around your home location. Please see the attached role profile for more info.
