Job summary

Yorkshire Housing seeks qualified Electricians in Leeds to join our team. The role offers a £40,057.61 annual salary based on a 37.5-hour week, plus on-call rota pay (£286.65 weekly standby) and additional overtime opportunities. You’ll have a modern company van with fuel card, tools and equipment, and you’ll work locally so you’re home every evening.

• Qualified Electrician with domestic experience and relevant certifications.
• Valid UK driving licence and mobile working capability.
• Experience in electrical inspections and testing is essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all electrical workstreams including Fixed wire testing (EICRs) and remedials.
• Carry out electrical repairs and alterations to fittings and fixtures in properties.
• Rewire partial or full properties and provide certification and reports.
• Work across empty and occupied properties and coordinate with trades and suppliers.

What you'll be doing

You'll undertake all electrical workstreams which include Fixed wire testing (EICR's), associated remedials, electrical repairs & alterations to existing fittings and fixtures, rewiring partial or full properties, including inspection and testing and the provision of certification and reporting on the condition of electrical components and equipment, planned installs such as lighting upgrades and heating upgrades. This will take place in both in empty and occupied properties. You'll be using your own personal initiative, problem-solving any smaller issues on-site, but also be working as a key player in a bigger team. Also, you'll work closely with other trades, as well as administrators and suppliers. You'll be the face of Yorkshire Housing to many of our tenants. So, respectful, warm and professional communication is a key part of this role.

You'll have City & Guilds Level 3 (or recognised equivalent qualification), City & Guilds 2382 (18th edition), NVQ in Electro technical Services & AM2 Certification and 2391-51 Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations Level 3 (or recognised equivalent or greater qualification). You'll also need a valid UK driving licence. This is a mobile role, so you'll be travelling around Yorkshire, however we'll try to allocate work locations based around your home location.
