Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an electrical installer to ensure efficient delivery of electrical works in retail and facilities management environments. You will work on 1st/2nd fix, power and lighting tasks, and support certification processes while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires holding relevant City & Guilds/C&G qualifications, experience with LV distribution, and a commitment to safe working practices.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 or NVQ & C&G 2382-10 18th Edition required.
• C&G 2391-10 and 2391-20 qualifications preferred.
• Experience with commercial electrical installations essential.
• Experience with LV distribution systems.
• Knowledge of safe working practices and permit to work systems.
• SMSTS/SSSTS or IOSH beneficial.
• First Aid, IPAF and PASMA training advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install and modify electrical components and systems including 1st and 2nd fix installations, power and lighting.
• Carry out testing and inspection to enable certification.
• Support project manager with information for estimates/quotations.
• Adhere to safety rules and safe engineering practices.
• Install tray, ladder, conduits per drawings and specs.
• Provide progress information per Project Programme and RAMS.

About The Role

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Role overview

You will be ensuring that the delivery of electrical aspects are delivered in an effective, efficient and professional manner to the complete satisfaction of all of our customer/s. Ensuring the installations are to current regulations and to be able to work as a team member.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and modify electrical components and systems to include 1st fix containment, 2nd fix installations, power & lighting, Commissioning.
• Carry out all testing and inspection to enable the completion of certification.
• Assist the Project Manager / Supervisor with the required information to enable the compilation of estimates / quotations as required.
• Conform to safety rules and apply good engineering and safety practices.
• install tray, ladder, conduits etc. as per construction drawings.
• To provide information on progress of the project as per Project Programme & to follow RAMS.
• Adherence to the Quality Management System applied to all M&E systems.
• To keep administration teams updated on any change of order when collecting materials from wholesalers.
• Following the specific SOR’S issued and drawings.

Essential Qualifications

• Qualified to City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ & C&G 2382 -10 18th Edition
• C&G 2391-10 Inspection & Testing & C&G 2391-20 Design & Verification
• Experience of commercial electrical installations.
• Experience of installation of LV distribution systems
• Experience of safe working practices and permit to work systems.
• Preferably to hold SMSTS,SSSTS or IOSH
• First Aid, IPAF and PASMA training will be provided if required but advantageous if already certified.
