Job summary

Mark May is seeking a qualified Electrician to join its project teams across Ipswich and nationwide sites. The role involves installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair work, with travel to various sites and a rota including call-outs.

Applicants should have Level 3 electrical qualification, 18th Edition, and 2391 testing, plus an ECS card. A valid UK driving licence and DBS clearance are preferred.

• Level 3 electrical qualification or equivalent.
• 18th Edition qualification.
• Testing & Inspection - 2391 or equivalent.
• ECS Card.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
• Full clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair works across Ipswich and nationwide sites.
• Work across high-security sites and government buildings.
• Follow instructions from Lead Engineers and support the delivery of projects to a high standard.
• Work across multiple projects while managing priorities and deadlines.
• Complete electrical works in line with current regulations and Health & Safety requirements.
• Carry out company Risk Assessments where required.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
• Work both independently and as part of a wider project team.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, compliance and customer service.
• Travel to various sites and stay away when required, with appropriate notice.

Location: Ipswich based office / sites across London & South East

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE - Travel time paid OTE £50k+

Hours: Monday-Friday - Call out rota

A well-established national building services contractor is looking to expand its project team with experienced Electricians to work across major private and public sector projects, including high-security sites and government buildings.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

• Level 3 electrical qualification / Apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• 18th Edition qualification
• Testing & Inspection - 2391 or equivalent
• ECS Card
• Proven site experience in a similar electrical role
• Minimum 3 years' relevant industry experience
• Good knowledge of electrical, construction and building services systems
• Enhanced DBS clearance or ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
• Full clean manual UK driving licence - confidential discussions regarding points
