Job summary

Primech Building Services is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and implement electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects. The role includes on-site visits, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance, and collaborating with project teams.

Ideal candidates will hold an ECS Gold Card, possess fault-finding and testing experience, and be able to work out of hours when required. A UK driving licence is preferred for site visits.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and design principles.
• Flexibility to work out of hours when project requirements demand.
• ECS Gold card holder is a must.
• Testing experience (2391 preferred but not essential).
• Troubleshooting and fault finding experience.
• Experience maintaining electrical equipment; routine maintenance.

In this role, you will be responsible for and implementing electrical systems for a variety of projects across commercial, and industrial sectors. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring that all electrical projects are safe, efficient, and compliant with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers, other engineering disciplines, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives.
• Perform site visits and inspections to assess project requirements and compliance.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in electrical engineering and recommend improvements.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and design principles.
• Flexibility to work out of hours (OOH) when project requirements demand
• ECS Gold card holder is a must
• Testing experience (2391 preferred but not essential)
• Troubleshooting & fault finding experience
• Experience of maintaining electrical equipment (routine maintenance)
• A good understanding of 3 Phase and Single Phase pumps and motors
• A good understanding of commercial and domestic heating control wiring
• BMS experience (preferred but not essential)
• Experience in the Installation of containment systems (tray, basket, ladder and metal conduit)
• Extensive knowledge of the BS 7671 wiring regulations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams.
• Full UK driver's license as site visits may be required.

Desirable (But Not Essential)

• First Aid certification
• Experience in a lead Electrican role
