Job summary

Dynamite Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Repairs Electrician to join a growing infrastructure group in Greater London. The role involves planned and preventative maintenance across tunnel-based infrastructure, with responsibility for LV distribution, pumps, ventilation and CCTV systems.

The position offers a starting salary of £45,760 with opportunities to earn £65K+ through night work premiums and overtime.

Qualifications

• Maintenance and repair of electrical systems across infrastructure environments.
• Fault-finding and diagnosis of LV distribution, pumps, fans and motors.
• Knowledge and application of health and safety standards in maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work with an engineering team to separate planned work from reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned and preventative maintenance across tunnel and transport infrastructure, within closure periods.
• Maintain and fault-find on LV electrical distribution, pumps, extract and supply fans, ventilation dampers, VSDs and associated motors.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs on emergency wayfinding/signage systems, CCTV, intruder alarms and LED control systems.
• Undertake detailed inspections, identify defects and document remedial works.
• Work with wider engineering team to separate planned projects from ongoing maintenance.
• Work flexibly to meet operational requirements, including occasional night shifts with premium pay.
• Support ongoing improvements across the engineering function and uphold high health & safety standards.

Maintenance & Repairs Electrician

Starting salary: £45,760

Due to shift patterns, there are opportunities to earn: £65K+

Hours: This role will involve a mixture of working days and nights and you will receive premium night work pay, plus overtime at premiums.

The Electrician Role:

• Undertake detailed inspections, identifying defects and clearly documenting any remedial works required.
• Work alongside the wider engineering team to support a clear separation between planned projects and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Work flexibly to meet operational requirements, including occasional night shifts where required, with additional premium pay available.
• Play an active role in maintaining high standards of health & safety, workmanship and quality, while supporting ongoing improvements across the engineering function.
