Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking a skilled Electrician for ongoing maintenance and installation work in Kensington & Chelsea. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across occupied social housing properties, with a focus on rewires and routine maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services, 18th Edition, and ideally 2391. A PDA, hand and power tools proficiency, and a valid UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services – Electrical Installation (Building and Structures) or equivalent.
• 18th Edition qualification.
• 2391 (preferred) qualification.
• Proven experience as an Electrician in social housing.
• Experience using a PDA.
• Competence with hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, and fault finding within occupied social housing properties.
• Fault finding, testing, and remedial works.
• Consumer unit replacements, rewires, lighting upgrades, and general electrical repairs.
• Ensuring all work is completed to current regulations and health & safety standards.
• Delivering excellent customer service to tenants and clients.
• Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted.
