Who we are:

Working alongside 40 electrical fitters & 30 apprentices within a supportive and dynamic team. You will be providing support to the Royal Navy Warship fleet through upgrades, maintenance, and support periods. There is the potential for national and international travel in line with the role demands.

This could include accruing hours as well as flexibility around start and finish times, ensuring you can balance life at work, on site, and at home.

What you’ll be doing:
  1. Reading/Interpreting Electrical Drawings, MDS, and Guidance information
  2. Carrying out Electrical Testing on 12v, 24v, 110v, 240v & 440v systems
  3. Executing various crimping techniques and soldering
  4. Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, and defect rectification in accordance with project schedules to meet customer quality expectations
  5. Installation, testing, and maintenance of communications equipment such as VHF radios, Intercom, GPS, and AIS
  6. Fault diagnosis and defect rectification
  7. Carrying out detailed inspections and being fully conversant in the use of all measuring equipment
  8. Using calibrating measurement equipment
Your skills and experiences:
  1. Completed an appropriate trade apprenticeship or naval equivalent qualification
  2. Understanding of electrical installation drawings
  3. Clear understanding of SHE Risks Awareness
  4. Understanding of manufacturing processes
  5. Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and/or at height
  6. Safety certifications such as SHE Induction, COSHH Awareness, working at height, etc.
  7. Background in Marine, Offshore, Construction, or Manufacturing environment highly desirable
