CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd seeks experienced Electricians for Central Belt installations across Scotland and the wider UK. You will join dedicated teams delivering Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV charging and ASHP electrical systems to professional standards.

Role covers AC/DC wiring, test and certification, with strong emphasis on safety, accurate digital records, and customer liaison. Upskilling and progression are available within a growing renewables business.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent).
• ECS/JIB Gold Card.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and test Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV Charging and ASHP electrical systems.
• Complete AC/DC wiring, inverters, and consumer unit upgrades.
• Carry out inspection, testing, fault finding and certification per BS 7671.
• Complete digital job records and certifications with photos where required.
• Liaise with customers, site teams and project managers for delivery.
• Maintain high health, safety, workmanship standards and assist apprentices.

Job description

Electrician - Central Belt - Salary up to £50,000 DOE plus Bonuses

Due to continued growth in the renewable energy sector, we are recruiting experienced professionals to support the delivery of residential and commercial Solar PV and Battery Storage installations across Scotland and the wider UK.

Successful candidates will join dedicated installation teams, working together to deliver high-quality renewable energy systems safely, efficiently, and to industry standards.

Each installation team typically consists of:

• Renewable Energy Electricians (2 positions per team) – Responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, and certification of Solar PV and Battery Storage systems, including AC/DC wiring, inverters, and associated electrical equipment in accordance with current industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission and test Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV Charging and Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) electrical systems.
• Complete AC/DC wiring, inverters, consumer unit upgrades and associated electrical works.
• Carry out inspection, testing, fault finding and certification in accordance with BS 7671 and relevant industry standards.
• Accurately complete digital job records, certification and quality assurance documentation, including photographic evidence where required.
• Liaise professionally with customers, site teams and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and workmanship, supporting labourers and apprentices where required.

Person Specification

Essential

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent)
• ECS/JIB Gold Card
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Minimum three years' electrical installation experience
• Strong knowledge of BS 7671 and safe isolation procedures
• Comfortable using tablets or digital job management systems

Desirable

• Experience installing Solar PV and Battery Storage - ( training/certification on EV charging will be provided).
• Experience working on social housing or large-scale renewable energy programmes.
• Knowledge of G98/G99 grid connection requirements.
• Manufacturer training on leading renewable energy products is advantageous but not essential.
