Role: Electrician - Renewable Energy

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Location: Cumbria

ASA Recruitment is excited to partner with a Solar PV installation company to find a talented 18th Edition Electrician to join their growing team. This small, friendly company specialises in Solar PV installations for both domestic and commercial markets across Cumbria, alongside offering battery storage and EV charger solutions.

In this role, you'll work closely with the roofing team, who install the panels, to carry out the enabling AC works and complete the installation and commissioning of inverters, battery storage systems, and EV chargers. You'll also assist with maintenance tasks. Most projects are completed as part of a two-person team.

Responsibilities

1. Install equipment to meet industry standards, ensuring a high-quality and aesthetically pleasing finish.
2. Commission systems in line with manufacturer requirements.
3. Complete all necessary paperwork and certification accurately.
4. Troubleshoot and repair system faults as needed.
5. Work collaboratively with the team to deliver projects efficiently and effectively.

Experience

1. Proven experience as an Electrician.
2. Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety standards.
3. Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces when required.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and a sharp eye for detail.
5. A valid UK driving licence.
