Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking an experienced electrician to join a team delivering high‑quality electrical installations and on‑site training for apprentices.

You will complete test certification on site, work to BS7671, mentor apprentices, and travel to sites within roughly an hour, with overtime rates applying beyond that.

The role offers a salary of £38,000–£48,000, a full‑time Monday–Friday schedule, a pension, holidays, and opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation including AM2 is required.
• Knowledge of 18th Edition BS7671 is essential.
• Testing and inspection experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete test certification on site in line with current BS7671 regulations.
• Carry out electrical installation work to a high standard and in compliance with BS7671.
• Support and mentor apprentices on site.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements.
• Travel up to one hour to site locations; pay beyond one hour at overtime rate.
• Promote a welcoming and inclusive working environment in line with the company’s FIR policy.

Package

• £38,000 - £48,000 salary dependent on experience
• Full‑time, Monday to Friday
• 7:00am – 4:00pm (40hours per week)
• Overtime paid at 1.5× standard rate
• First hour travel done in own time, anything after payable

Role Overview

The successful candidate will work as part of a team delivering high‑quality electrical installations while providing training and guidance to electrical apprentices.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete test certification on site in line with current BS7671 regulations
• Carry out electrical installation work to a high standard and in compliance with BS7671
• Support and mentor apprentices on site

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 6years’ electrical installation experience
• NVQ Level3 in Electrical Installation including AM2
• Knowledge of 18th Edition BS7671
• Testing and inspection experience
• Commercial electrical experience
• ECS Card
• Full UK driving licence
• Own tools

Desirable Requirements

• SSSTS
• Inspection & Testing 2391 Qualification (or equivalent)
• IPAF Qualification
• PASMA Qualification
