Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an electrician/electrical installation engineer in industrial/commercial environments.
• Experience working safely to Written Safe Systems of Work (WSSOW).
• Strong electrical installation, testing and commissioning experience.
• Experience in electrical fault-finding and repair.
• Desirable: supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Desirable knowledge of large electrical distribution networks.
• Desirable experience with electrical control panels/cubicles.
• Desirable experience delivering electrical projects in large industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and carry out electrical installation work across the site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed timescales.
• Follow Written Safe Systems of Work (WSSOW) and all health and safety procedures.
• Install indoor and outdoor electrical distribution equipment in accordance with regulations and site standards.
• Construct, wire and commission electrical control cubicles and control panels.
• Carry out electrical testing, commissioning and fault-finding on control and distribution equipment.
• Lead installation teams and supervise electricians and apprentices where required.
• Plan and prioritise daily activities, allocating work to team members in line with project requirements.
• Work collaboratively with different teams across the site.
• Identify and resolve electrical problems effectively.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and compliance.
• Ensure electrical work is completed in accordance with legislation, regulations and codes of practice.

You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of electrical works, including installation, commissioning, testing, fault-finding, maintenance and repair. You will also have the opportunity to lead installation teams and provide guidance to less experienced electricians and apprentices.,
