Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Engineer / Electrical Supervisor to support electrical installation and project delivery across an industrial site in Culham, Abingdon. This onsite role includes leading installation teams and delivering a wide range of electrical works.

You will perform installation, testing, fault-finding, maintenance and repair, ensuring compliance with WSSOW and current regulations.

Qualifications

• ECS Gold Card is essential.
• Proven experience as electrician/electrical installation engineer in industrial or commercial environments.
• Demonstrable experience working with Written Safe Systems of Work (WSSOW).
• Strong electrical installation, testing and commissioning experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.
• Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks.

Electrical Installation Engineer / Electrical Supervisor

Location: Culham, Abingdon - Onsite
Pay Rate: £32.80 per hour (Umbrella - Inside IR35)
Contract: Until 30th September 2027

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Installation Engineer / Electrical Supervisor to support ongoing electrical installation and project delivery across a major industrial site in Culham, Abingdon.

You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of electrical works, including installation, commissioning, testing, fault-finding, maintenance and repair. You will also have the opportunity to lead installation teams and provide guidance to less experienced electricians and apprentices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and carry out electrical installation work across the site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed timescales.
• Follow Written Safe Systems of Work (WSSOW) and all relevant health and safety procedures.
• Install indoor and outdoor electrical distribution equipment in accordance with current regulations and site standards.
• Construct, wire and commission electrical control cubicles and control panels.
• Carry out electrical testing, commissioning and fault-finding on control and distribution equipment.
• Lead installation teams and supervise electricians and apprentices where required.
• Plan and prioritise daily activities, allocating work to team members in line with project requirements.
• Work collaboratively with different teams and disciplines across the site.
• Identify and resolve electrical problems effectively.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and compliance at all times.
• Ensure electrical work is completed in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice.

Essential Requirements

• ECS Gold Card - essential.
• Proven experience as an electrician/electrical installation engineer within an industrial or commercial environment.
• Demonstrable experience working safely to Written Safe Systems of Work (WSSOW).
• Strong electrical installation, testing and commissioning experience.
• Experience in electrical fault-finding and repair.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing tasks.

Desirable Experience

• Previous electrical supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience supervising electricians, apprentices or junior team members.
• Knowledge of large electrical distribution networks.
• Experience working with electrical control panels/cubicles.
• Experience delivering electrical projects within a large industrial environment.
