Job Opportunity: Electrical Engineer

Proactive Personnel is partnering with a large business to recruit an electrical engineer for a permanent position. The role involves providing turnkey electrical services to the FMCG industry, primarily in the Food Industry but potentially in other FMCG environments.

Responsibilities include:

1. Installation of electrical containment services (ladder, tray, basket, conduit - galvanized & stainless steel)
2. Installation of LV switchgear, control panels, and secondary equipment
3. Power and control cabling installation and termination
4. Testing and commissioning of controls
5. Reading, understanding, and modifying electrical engineering drawings
6. Recording testing results and commissioning details
7. Issuing NIC EIC reports & certification
8. Working collaboratively within a team
9. Escalating customer queries appropriately
10. Occasional out-of-hours contact
11. Following site rules and compliance standards
12. Maintaining personal and team safety in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
13. Adhering to safe systems of work and using equipment responsibly
14. Wearing and maintaining PPE correctly
15. Reporting unsafe acts or conditions

Minimum qualifications and experience:

• City & Guilds Electrical Engineering NVQ Level 3
• 18th edition BS7671
• JIB Gold Card

The position is based on customer sites, with a provided van, fuel card, and mobile phone. The role involves a 40-hour workweek with some flexibility as needed.
