Job Summary:

T People are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) for social housing / residential properties.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring electrical safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR):

• Perform thorough inspections and testing of electrical installations to assess their condition and compliance with current regulations.
• Identify any defects, deterioration, damage, or non-compliance with electrical standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Accurately complete and issue EICRs, detailing the condition of electrical installations and any required remedial work.
• Provide clear and concise reports to clients, outlining findings and recommendations for necessary actions.

Maintenance and Repairs:

• Carry out necessary repairs and maintenance work on electrical installations to rectify any issues identified during inspections.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Customer Service:

• Communicate effectively with clients to explain inspection results, necessary repairs, and safety advice.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanour at all times.

Compliance and Standards:

• Keep up-to-date with current electrical regulations and best practices (e.g., IET Wiring Regulations).
• Ensure all work adheres to health and safety standards and company policies.

Health and Safety:

• Adhere to all health and safety protocols to ensure the safety of yourself, clients, and colleagues.
• Identify and mitigate any potential hazards encountered during inspections and repairs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 18th Edition Wiring Regs
• Relevant qualifications in electrical installation (NVQ Level 3)
• City & Guilds 2391or equivalent for inspection and testing

Experience:

• Proven experience in conducting EICRs and issuing electrical safety certificates.
• Experience in maintenance and repair of electrical installations.

Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and safety standards.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.

Other Requirements:

• Valid driver’s licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
