We are seeking a dedicated, fully qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Bedford, a Category B adult/male prison.

Work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference.

Candidate Requirements

• Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
• Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S), e.g., 2367 or 2357
• At least two years' experience as a fully qualified electrician
• Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems
• Knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
