Job summary

First Military Recruitment are seeking two Electricians for an industrial site in Culham, Abingdon. The role covers installation, commissioning, fault-finding, maintenance and repair within a site-wide electrical network.

Successful candidates will lead installation teams, supervise apprentices, work to Safe Systems of Work, and ensure regulatory compliance. Ex-military applicants are encouraged; BPSS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• ECS Gold Card is essential.
• Experience in industrial or commercial environments.
• Demonstrable ability to work safely under a WSSOW.
• Supervisory experience is desirable.
• Ability to lead and supervise electrical teams.
• BPSS clearance will need to be attained.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the installation phase of projects, ensuring Safe Systems of Work are followed and projects are delivered to agreed timescales.
• Lead installation teams and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Install indoor and outdoor electrical distribution equipment in compliance with current regulations and local standards.
• Construction, wiring and commissioning of electrical control cubicles.
• Testing, commissioning and fault-finding on electrical equipment.
• Provide guidance and supervision to less experienced electricians and apprentices.
• Coordinate across diverse teams on site and allocate tasks according to project requirements.
• Maintain high safety standards and comply with all relevant procedures.

Location: Culham, Abingdon

Salary: Up to £32.80 per hour

Overview

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking two Electricians on behalf of one of our clients.

The successful candidates will provide ongoing electrical installation delivery across the Culham site, leading on a wide range of electrical work within an industrial environment. This will include installation, commissioning, fault-finding, maintenance and repair, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with current legislation, regulations and codes of practice.

The role is full-time and site-based at Culham. The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading installation teams where required and providing guidance and supervision to less experienced electricians and apprentices.

Duties and Responsibilities
