An established industry player is seeking a qualified Electrician to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen City. This role involves liaising with supervisors to prioritize workloads, installing and maintaining both non-hazardous and hazardous electrical equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Qualifications

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferable but not essential.
  • Fully qualified Electrician through recognized body.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Supervisors to determine and prioritise workloads
  • Preparation of electrical materials & equipment
  • Installation/commissioning of non-hazardous and hazardous area electrical equipment
  • On-going maintenance, testing, fault finding and repair of existing assets including completion of all associated paperwork
  • Co-ordinate with other disciplines to ensure activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide progress updates to Supervisor/Team Lead on job status
  • Carrying out offsite work/offshore work as required
  • Participating in the management of HSE within own area of responsibility
  • Delivering quality within own area of responsibility
  • Liaising with clients, 3rd party inspectors and surveyors.

Skills & Experience

  • Interpretation of electrical drawings
  • A well organised individual with an ability to prioritise
  • Excellent technical knowledge with proactive approach to problem solving experience
  • Good at analysing situations and informing decision-makers of any potential blocks to effective project execution
  • Effective team player, ability to work unsupervised and good communication skills
  • Calm under pressure and effective in meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Experience from the oil and gas industry, preferable but not essential
  • Fully qualified Electrician through supporting body e.g: SQA, City & Guilds
  • CompEx certified or country equivalent
  • IEE Wiring Regulations or country equivalent.
