Job summary
Astute Technical Recruitment Ltd. is partnering with a leading biomass site in Lincoln to recruit an Electrically Biased Plant Engineer for a 24/7 shift role.
The role offers a starting salary of up to £48,000 plus benefits and ongoing training opportunities. Apprentice-trained and electrically biased with at least five years' experience maintaining heavy industrial equipment in power generation or similar sectors is preferred.
Qualifications
- apprentice trained and electrically biased with five years' experience maintaining heavy industrial equipment
- strong electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing, biomass, power generation or heavy industrial environments
- proven fault-finding on industrial electrical systems, motors and drives
- good understanding of PLCs, instrumentation and automated production systems
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventive and reactive electrical maintenance across the biomass facility
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults across plant machinery and production equipment
- Fault find on motors, drives, control panels and sensors
- Support PLC fault finding and troubleshooting of automated production systems
- Complete maintenance records and electrical documentation accurately
- Work with production and mechanical teams to improve plant reliability and performance
