Job summary

Page Personnel seeks an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer based in Pontefract to maintain FMCG production lines, ensuring safe and efficient operation. The role involves breakdown response, proactive checks, and constant monitoring of equipment for performance and quality.

You will follow strict Health & Safety and Food Hygiene policies, work a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, and be committed to minimizing downtime while upholding standards across the site.

Qualifications

• Able to read electrical drawings and follow electrical regulations.
• 17th/18th Edition knowledge is required.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills in electrical/mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain factory premises, plant and equipment in safe order.
• Respond to breakdowns promptly and complete associated paperwork.
• Perform daily pre-start checks and monitor machines for wear or quality issues.
• Investigate faults, identify causes and recommend/implement solutions.
• Conduct risk assessments prior to maintenance and ensure safety of staff and meat products.
• Hand back equipment to Production in 100% safe condition.
