This is a hands-on, all-round position reporting directly to the production manager. You'll be the go-to maintenance person on-site, so the ability to work autonomously and turn your hand to a wide range of tasks is essential. The previous maintenance engineer was in the role for over 11 years.

What They're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 17th Edition, ideally 18th Edition. Company can upskill from 17th to 18th.
  • Electrical testing experience would be advantageous.
  • Must be comfortable with both electrical and mechanical work - changing motors, fault-finding, wiring sockets/lights, and general mechanical repairs.
  • Hands-on mindset - the business needs someone who'll get stuck in, whether it's fixing a CNC machine or repairing a door.
  • Ideally looking for someone with apprenticeship background (electrical biased) and stable work history.
  • Previous experience with PPMs, reactive maintenance, and minor project work.
  • Open to background (steel, general manufacturing, etc.) but must have strong plant/factory maintenance experience.

Salary & Benefits:

Up to 45,000 basic depending on experience.

  • Overtime paid at:

    • Time and a half after standard hours.
    • Time and a half Saturdays.
    • Double time Sundays/bank holidays.

4.5 day working week - early Friday finish (12:30pm).

  • Pension scheme and holiday allowance.
  • Stable and friendly working environment - very low staff turnover.
  • You'll be joining a company that values its team - not just a number here.

Ideal Candidate:

An experienced maintenance engineer, probably who wants to get off shifts, have work-life balance, and join a company that genuinely values their contribution. Someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and taking ownership of site maintenance.
