Job description

Job Title: Electrically-Bias Maintenance Engineer
Location: Aberdare
Shift Pattern: Rotational shift pattern.

Monday to Thursday 6am – 6pm

Monday to Thursday 6pm – 6am
Salary: up to 40k

The Role:

We are seeking an Electrically-Bias Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair with a good grounding in mechanical aspects to support the wider maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical maintenance and repairs on machinery and plant equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults including PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, and control systems.
  • Support mechanical maintenance tasks when required.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repairs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and fault-finding (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar preferred).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude to assist with mechanical tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
