Job summary

Enterprise Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Wiring & Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a busy prototype development workshop in the Cambridge area. This temporary contract role offers hands-on work across proof-of-concept designs, test rigs, and client-deliverable products.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to assemble, wire, inspect and test bespoke equipment, reading technical drawings and wiring schedules, with emphasis on quality and safety in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical wiring, cable assembly and mechanical assembly environments.
• Knowledge of low-voltage AC/DC systems and single or three-phase wiring.
• Ability to work from technical drawings and wiring documentation.
• Hands-on skills with soldering, hand tools and connector termination.

Responsibilities

• Electrical wiring and cable assembly of prototype and production equipment.
• Mechanical assembly of test rigs, machines and bespoke systems.
• Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, cable schedules and technical drawings.
• Soldering, crimping and connector assembly to a high standard.
