Job summary

A leading electrical services company in Exeter seeks an experienced Electrical Testing Electrician to perform compliance checks, maintenance, and testing to NICEIC standards. The ideal candidate will be fully qualified with relevant certifications and possess a valid driver’s license. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Travel may be required and overtime is encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified Electrician with relevant certifications.
  • Experience with PPM maintenance and fixed wire testing.
  • Valid UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out compliance visits and remedial works.
  • Test emergency lighting and fire alarms.
  • Perform PAT testing and fire extinguisher servicing.

Skills

Fully qualified Electrician (2365 with NVQ 3 or equivalent)
2391 Inspection & Testing qualification
PPM maintenance and fixed wire testing experience
IT literate
Able to use steps/ladders safely

Education

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent

Overview

Electrical Testing Electrician – Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Exeter (travel required)

Join our team as an experienced Electrical Testing / PPM & Remedial Electrician. You\'ll deliver compliance, planned maintenance and fixed wire testing (EICRs) to NICEIC standards, ensuring properties remain safe and compliant.

Qualifications
  • Fully qualified Electrician (2365 with NVQ 3 or 236 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent) with 17th or 18th Edition.
  • 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification (or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence (max 6 points).
  • PPM maintenance and fixed wire testing experience.
  • IT literate, confident with smartphone/tablet.
  • Able to carry and use steps/ladders for short-duration work at height.
Responsibilities
  • Carry out compliance visits, remedial works, lighting maintenance.
  • Test emergency lighting and fire alarms.
  • Perform PAT testing and fire extinguisher servicing.
  • Support occasional small project work as needed.
