Job summary

adi Group is seeking a Roaming Tester to carry out electrical inspection and testing across industrial sites in the UK, completing EICRs to BS7671. This field-based role includes occasional overnight stays with hotel accommodation provided.

You will perform visual inspections, code defects, and produce accurate EICRs using electronic reporting tools. A UK driving license and up-to-date electrical qualifications are required to join our compliance team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in electrical inspection and testing and completing EICRs.
• Experience working within manufacturing and industrial environments.
• Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391 or 2394/5).
• 18th Edition qualification and NVQ Level 3.
• Good knowledge of BS7671.
• Full UK Driving License.
• Experience using thermal imaging equipment would be beneficial but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Completing EICRs in accordance with BS7671 on systems up to 1000V.
• Conducting visual inspections and testing, accurately identifying and coding defects.
• Producing accurate EICRs using electronic reporting software and test equipment.
• Conducting emergency lighting testing to BS5266-1.
• Carrying out safe electrical isolation procedures.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
• Following agreed schedules of works and maintaining safe working practices.
• Working collaboratively with the adi Compliance 360 team and customers.
• Travelling to industrial and manufacturing sites, with occasional overnight stays.

About the Role
