Job summary

adi Electrical is seeking a roaming Electrical Tester to perform EICRs and testing across industrial sites, with occasional overnight stays and hotel accommodation provided. You will work to BS7671 standards on systems up to 1000V and use electronic reporting software to produce detailed EICRs.

The role requires Level 3 Initial/Periodic Electrical Inspection & Testing (2391 or 2394/5), 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience completing EICRs and electrical inspection/testing.
• Experience working in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391 or 2394/5).
• 18th Edition qualification and NVQ Level 3.

Responsibilities

• Complete EICRs in accordance with BS7671 on systems up to 1000V.
• Conduct visual inspections and testing, accurately identifying and coding defects.
• Produce accurate EICRs using electronic reporting software and test equipment.
• Conduct emergency lighting testing to BS5266-1.
• Carry out safe electrical isolation procedures.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Travel to industrial and manufacturing sites, with occasional overnight stays.
• Collaborate with the adi Compliance 360 team and customers.

About the Role

As a Roaming Tester, you will carry out electrical inspection and testing across industrial and manufacturing sites, completing EICRs in accordance with BS7671. This is a field-based role with occasional overnight stays, with hotel accommodation provided.

• Completing EICRs in accordance with BS7671 on systems up to 1000V.
• Conducting visual inspections and testing, accurately identifying and coding defects.
• Producing accurate EICRs using electronic reporting software and test equipment.
• Conducting emergency lighting testing to BS5266-1.
• Carrying out safe electrical isolation procedures.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
• Following agreed schedules of works and maintaining safe working practices.
• Working collaboratively with the adi Compliance 360 team and customers.
• Travelling to industrial and manufacturing sites, with occasional overnight stays.

About you

We would like to hear from you if you have:

• Previous experience in electrical inspection and testing and completing EICRs.
• Experience working within manufacturing and industrial environments.
• Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391 or 2394/5).
• 18th Edition qualification and NVQ Level 3.
• Good knowledge of BS7671.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience using thermal imaging equipment would be beneficial but is not essential.
