Job description

Electrical Tester Maidstone & Surrounding Areas 46,400 Salary Estimated Earnings 55-65K Paid Weekly Commercial Environments.

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Tester to carry out a range of testing and inspection along with general electrical planned maintenance and electrical remedial works within commercial environments.

You will be working on a mobile basis across Kent and surrounding areas. As an Electrical Tester, you will be carrying out EICRs, fixed wire testing alongside general maintenance such as emergency light tester, lamps, ballasts, sockets, circuits, interior and exterior decorative and security lighting. Transformers, power distribution, temporary power supplies, installing, repairing and replacing electrical accessories. Power supplies and electrical components within HVAC, fire and security systems etc.

Package Summary:

  • Job Title: Electrical Tester
  • Salary: 46,400 for standard hours, not inclusive over paid overtime, on-call rota, offered price works etc.
  • Estimated annual earnings: 55,000 - 65,000.
  • Status: Permanent, PAYE - Paid Weekly.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday; 07:00am - 5:30pm INCLUDING travel time. Estimated site hours: 08:00am - 4:30pm. Travel time paid after 30 minutes each way to and from first & last job (ie: paid from 07:30am - 5:00pm).
  • Call out rota: 1 in 6 weeks. 100 per week standby ( 800 per annum) + D2D pay if called out at overtime rates.
  • Overtime rates: x1.5 rate for travel time / x2 rate for on-site hours at all times.
  • Company van, fuel card, uniform, phone provided.
  • Van use: Business use only, some flexibility on local, sensible personal use
  • 28 days paid holiday (inc BH) + pension.
  • Company funded training, courses, up-skilling and development.

Requirements:

  • Must be a fully qualified Electrician (ie: City & Guilds 236 Part 2 / City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 / NVQ Level 3)
  • Must hold testing and inspection qualifications: City & Guilds 2391.
  • Must have up to date regulations: City & Guilds 18th edition.
  • Must be comfortable carrying out EICRs, Fixed Wire Testing and general planned electrical maintenance and remedial works.
  • Must have a full UK driving license with under 9 points.
