General Description

Inspect the work of electrical assemblers, verifying wiring and panel component layout based on the drawing revision used by the assembler. The test technician will verify that all wiring and components used match customer specifications and are installed with minimal defects. The test technician will follow established procedures for inspection, depending on customer requirements.

The test technician will also generate labeling for identification and traceability and compile job documentation for all products before shipment.

The test technician may be asked periodically to assist in training or support other Quality Control employees and demonstrate leadership in work performance, quality, and attitude.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assemble, layout, and mount components; wire assembled components from simple schematics and wire lists.
  • Maintain working knowledge of electrical standards such as NEMA, NEC, UL, IEC.
  • Work efficiently without direct supervision.
  • Know company procedures and be able to train and supervise others.

Work Experience Requirements

  • Four or more years of experience in electrical assembly or a related electrical field.
  • Experience with quality procedures, including ISO 9001:2008 requirements.
  • Experience in troubleshooting.
  • Experience with safety and high voltage procedures.
