Job Details

Location: Bolton

Contract: 12-month rolling contract

Pay Range: £20.37 to £21.37 PAYE, or £27.53 to £28.88 Umbrella

Overview

The Test Operator will be responsible for executing test tasks within the manufacturing department, ensuring compliance with product certification procedures, workmanship standards, and project timelines.

Responsibilities
  1. Certify products according to certification procedures.
  2. Maintain product certification through regular audits.
  3. Apply versatile skills across various tasks.
  4. Set up testing procedures and calibrate test equipment periodically.
  5. Perform tests on electronic equipment as per instructions.
  6. Conduct fault-finding on electronic equipment.
  7. Keep detailed test records and report faults.
  8. Meet manufacturing test times.
  9. Complete all related paperwork accurately.
  10. Uphold high standards of workmanship and product quality.
  11. Ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures.
  12. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  13. Share best practices with team members.
Qualifications

  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Technical apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21/ONC or higher (HNC or equivalent preferred).
