Job summary

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Test Engineer on behalf of our client in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, inspection and sign-off of industrial equipment prior to dispatch, working with engineering, design and manufacturing teams to diagnose faults and ensure safety and quality standards.

The role requires a minimum HNC in electrical qualification, experience with high- and low-voltage systems, PLCs and the ability to read electrical drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC-level electrical qualification.
• Experience testing electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and fault diagnosis.
• Ability to read electrical drawings.
• Full, valid driving licence.
• Willingness to travel UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Carry out testing, inspection and sign-off of manufactured equipment and components prior to dispatch.
• Test and fault-find high-power electrical systems, inverters and control equipment.
• Diagnose faults across electrical, electronic, PLC and PC-based control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical and engineering drawings.
• Complete test records, quality documentation and inspection reports.
• Adhere to site procedures, risk assessments and health and safety requirements.
