Job summary

AWD Online is seeking an Electrical Test Technician in Hope Valley, Derbyshire. This full-time, permanent role involves inspecting, energising, fault-finding and commissioning ovens and furnaces before release.

You will work with Quality, Production and Engineering to ensure safety, performance and conformance to specs. The role requires experience in inspection/testing, reading electrical drawings and LV/HV testing, with a hands-on, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

Experience inspecting and testing electrical systems for ovens/furnaces.
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
Understanding LV/HV testing methods and safety practices.
Experience with temperature-control systems and instrumentation.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Passport and driving licence with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

Carry out final and in-process inspection and testing to specifications.
Safely energise ovens and furnaces, perform commissioning and heat-up checks.
Check wiring, terminations, control panels against drawings and BOMs; diagnose faults.
Configure instruments, calibrate products and record results.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and identify non-conformances.
Maintain inspection records and liaise with other departments.
Follow health and safety procedures.
