As an Electrical Technician, you will:

• Be a key player in the electrical build, wiring & electrical testing, special purpose automation.
• Work within our Production team, gaining exposure to manufacturing teams and the wider operations team.

Core Functions & Obligations

• Wire machines, sub-assemblies, and control panels according to Mpac schematics and documentation.
• Collaborate with Senior Electrical Technicians, Supervisors, Managers, and project teams to resolve issues and deliver projects effectively.
• Accurately log work hours and rework/non-value time.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in machine installations and setup in the UK or abroad.
• Support apprentice development.
• Demonstrate respect, integrity, trust, and excellence in interactions with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
• Be flexible to undertake tasks beyond immediate responsibilities when needed.

Core Deliverables / Outputs

• Deliver electrical builds on time, within budget, and to Mpac standards.
• Work safely at all times.
• Uphold Mpac values.

What We Are Looking For

• Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-technical team.
• Experience in electrical engineering environments.
• Experience with electrical/automation machinery and fault finding.
• Good understanding of low voltage systems, analogue and digital I/O, and automation systems.
• Proficiency with schematics and problem-solving skills.
• Solid IT skills for shop floor computer use.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and electrical schematics.
• ONC / BTEC / City and Guilds in electrical/mechatronic engineering.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirables (Not Necessities)

• Experience with pneumatic/electro-pneumatic equipment installations.
• Knowledge of EMC screening, earthing, and bonding for machinery.
• Basic PLC programming understanding.
