Job Title

Electrical Technician - REP

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as Senior Authority for all electrical safety matters on site.
  • Control and ensure the safety of all electrical equipment on site.
  • Maintain the process plant and associated equipment safely and efficiently, complying with statutory requirements.
  • Perform planned preventative, remedial, and breakdown maintenance following Repsol's management system.
  • Prepare work for the Electrical department.
  • This role requires residential cover.
  • Develop and implement training plans for Electrical Competence assessment.
  • Assess and evaluate candidates for Electrical Competence.
  • Carry out electrical maintenance activities, including preventative and remedial tasks, fault finding, and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in root cause analysis to improve equipment reliability.
  • Maintain comprehensive work records and logs, ensure effective handovers, and propose efficiency improvements.
  • Support team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Participate in the PFM competence scheme and support multi-skilled roles.
  • Maintain effective communication and relationships among team members.
  • Apply relevant legislation and safety standards in the workplace.
  • Be a member of the Emergency Response Fire Team and/or Incident Control Team, covering residential on-call duties on rotation.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • NSVQ Level 3 Certification or equivalent.
  • CompEx Units Ex 01 to 04 (Electrical).
  • Cellcorder Training.
  • HV Switching & System Control (City & Guilds 0672).
  • Latest Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
  • Inspection & Testing of Portable Electrical Equipment (PAT Testing).
  • Electrical Safety Rules and Electricity at Work Regulations knowledge.
  • Experience with Maximo or similar CMMS systems.
  • ISSOW certification.
  • HV/LV Protection Relay Training.
  • Responsible Electrical Person certification.
  • Lubrication Appreciation - RSRUK Level 2.
  • Working at Height - PPE User.
  • CPR Training.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
