Job summary

Omega is seeking a skilled maintenance electrician to be the first line responder on site, performing technical repairs, completing PPMs and ensuring compliance paperwork is up to date. The role requires handling electrical and mechanical equipment, including ovens and dishwashers, with a focus on safety and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1+2 in electrical installation/maintenance.
• City and Guilds 18th Edition.
• AM2 / 2391.

Responsibilities

• Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Respond promptly to service calls from the Helpdesk and assess job requirements for repairs.
• Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet timescales and response times.
• Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance.
• Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs.
• Follow purchase order processes.
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements with recommendations to the Line Manager.
• Ensure compliance documentation is up to date.
• Advise the on-site customer of repair/maintenance issues affecting site operations.
• Carry out minor alterations and installations within technical competence.
• Attend training to keep skills up to date.
• Comply with Health and Safety Policy.
• Work with colleagues to maintain quality standards.
• This role supervises AMT on technical works and builds good relationships; no direct reports.
