Job summary

Halliburton Energy Services in Aberdeen (Dyce) seeks an experienced electrical/electronic technician for workshop and offshore assignments. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems, interpret schematics, and work with Halliburton software and diagnostic tools.

Travel to offshore sites and international locations is expected. The role requires CompEx certification and offshore survival training, with a background in electrical engineering and hands-on fault-finding experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3+ years vocational training in electrical/electronic technology (or equivalent).
• HNC Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
• 2+ years relevant experience in electrical/electronic fields.
• CompEx certification (EX01-EX04) required.
• Offshore survival training (OPITO, BOSIET, HUET, CA-EBS) required.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year electrical experience.
• Technical Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical/electronic equipment at the assigned location.
• Conduct function testing to verify equipment readiness after maintenance.
• Interpret electrical schematics/drawings/prints accurately.
• Work with Halliburton software and hardware during tasks.
• Maintain data input in Halliburton's HMS system.
• Follow Halliburton procedures in daily activities and safety rules.
• Collaborate with team and assist others as needed.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations on site and offshore.
• Perform Ex inspections for hazardous area equipment.
