Qualifications

  • Proven offshore experience as Hydraulic Technician or similar.
  • Strong hands-on experience with hydraulic systems and HPUs.
  • Experience in instrumentation calibration.
  • Experience in offshore oil & gas, energy, subsea or industrial sector.
  • Ability to fault-find and troubleshoot hydraulic/electro-hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read hydraulic schematics and technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of safe offshore HSE practices.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, test and fault-find hydraulic and electro-hydraulic equipment offshore.
  • Work with HPUs and hydraulic control systems.
  • Inspect, test, maintain and troubleshoot offshore equipment.
  • Support commissioning and operational activities as required.
  • Identify faults and implement corrective actions.
  • Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and drawings.
  • Calibrate instrumentation where required and maintain records.
  • Ensure all work complies with procedures and HSE standards.
  • Collaborate with offshore teams, engineers and client representatives.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for experiencedOffshore Hydraulic Techniciansto support upcoming ad hoc offshore requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician with a strong background inhydraulics, Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs), subsea/topside control systems or instrumentationwho is available forimmediate mobilisation.

The Role

As an Offshore Hydraulic Technician, you will provide hands-on technical support across offshore operations, with responsibilities potentially including:

  • Installation, maintenance, testing and fault-finding of hydraulic and electro-hydraulic equipment.
  • Working withHydraulic Power Units (HPUs)and associated hydraulic control systems.
  • Carrying out inspection, testing, maintenance and troubleshooting activities offshore.
  • Supporting commissioning and operational activities as required.
  • Identifying faults and carrying out effective corrective actions.
  • Reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics, technical drawings and documentation.
  • Supporting instrumentation activities, including instrument calibration, where required.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate records, test results and technical documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with offshore teams, engineers and client representatives.
  • Maintaining a high standard of HSE, quality and professionalism throughout the assignment.
What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven offshore experience as aHydraulic Technician, Hydraulic Engineer, Controls Technician or similar.
  • Strong hands-on experience withhydraulic systems and HPUs.
  • Alternatively, a strong background ininstrumentation and calibrationcombined with relevant hydraulic/control systems experience.
  • Experience working within theoffshore oil & gas, energy, subsea or industrial sector.
  • The ability to fault-find and troubleshoot hydraulic/electro-hydraulic systems.
  • The ability to understand hydraulic schematics and technical documentation.
  • A strong understanding of safe working practices and offshore HSE requirements.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • The ability to work independently and confidently in an offshore environment.
Essential Requirements

You must:

  • Beavailable for immediate mobilisation from Aberdeen.
  • Holdall relevant offshore certifications and medicals in date.
  • Have previous offshore experience.
  • Have demonstrable experience withhydraulics, HPUs and/or instrumentation calibration.
  • Be able to provide up-to-date certification and employment references as required.
