Job description

Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading Energy from Waste site to recruit an Electrical Technician for its site in Worcestershire.

The Electrical Technician role comes with a starting salary of up to �50,000 + benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical Technician role

Reporting to the Electrical Engineer you will:

* Support electrical maintenance operations, ensuring all equipment is correctly operated, maintained, and faults are promptly addressed.
* Assist in planning and supervising shutdowns, including preparation of method statements and risk assessments.
* Investigate and resolve electrical faults, ensuring timely diagnosis and repair across plant systems.
* Ensure availability of emergency repair services, including out-of-hours breakdown response.
* Support calibration activities, ensuring tools and equipment meet required standards.
* Assist in managing plant computing and communication systems, supporting system reliability.
* Help coordinate specialist maintenance contracts, under the guidance of the Engineer.
* Contribute to spare parts management, including testing, storage, and recommendations for stock.
* Collaborate across teams, working closely with engineers, technicians, and contractors.

* Promote a strong safety culture, complying with all procedures and actively reporting hazards or incidents.

* Engage in ongoing training and development, maintaining a clean, professional work environment and supporting wider site operations as needed.

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

* Apprentice trained Electrical Engineer with relevant Level 3 / HNC qualification
* Experience / knowledge of high voltage systems is highly desirable
* Experience working in heavy industrial setting
* A Safety qualification such as IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent is desirable
