Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the nuclear sector is seeking an Electrical Technician in Aldermaston. You'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. Applicants must be qualified to City & Guilds Level 3 and possess 18th Edition certification. Experience in high-hazard environments is essential. Competitive hourly rate of £38.17 offered.

Qualifications

  • Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent training is essential.
  • Security clearance is mandatory.
  • Experience in electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, and testing is required.

  • Install, modify, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.

Electrical Technician, Full time - Permanent, Aldermaston

Do you have experience in electrical installation, maintenance and testing? Are you qualified to City & Guilds Level 3 with 18th Edition certification? Are you currently SC Cleared? Then this could be the role for you!

  • £38.17 per hour, CIS

What will you be doing?

  • Installing, modifying, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment
  • Carrying out testing, trials and inspections (EMIT)
  • Working from drawings and schematics to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Completing and maintaining technical documentation
  • Supporting project delivery across installation, operations, and decommissioning tasks

Where will you be doing it?

  • You'll be working with a trusted partner to the nuclear industry for over 40 years that provides engineering, installation, decommissioning and consultancy services across the full nuclear project lifecycle.

What you'll need:

  • Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent training - Essential
  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering - Essential
  • IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations - Essential
  • Experience in electrical installation, maintenance, inspection & test - Essential
  • Familiarity with nuclear or high-hazard site environments - Essential
