Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc is looking for an Electrical Technician to join the Brimsdown site in Enfield. The role involves carrying out electrical maintenance, installation, testing and repair of systems across the site, with a rotating day/night schedule and weekend work.

The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 electrical apprenticeship, 18th Edition certification, and experience reading electrical drawings and diagnosing faults in an industrial setting. Safety and compliance are paramount.

Qualifications

• Completed an electrical maintenance apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Holds 18th Edition City & Guilds 2382 certification and experience in electrical isolation, testing and inspection.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems.
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing or process environment, ideally in a shift-based role.
• Experience using CMMS systems such as SAP, with focus on safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance activities to ensure safe, compliant operation of production equipment and site infrastructure.
• Install, test, inspect and repair electrical systems across the Brimsdown site.
• Diagnose faults, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance and support reliability improvements.
• Record maintenance activities using SAP CMMS and identify spare parts needs.
