Job summary

Holt Engineering in Poole is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. You will build, wire and test bespoke machinery, working with Mechanical, Test and Quality teams to deliver high-quality products.

The role requires an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience, ability to read drawings, and testing; IPC certification would be advantageous. We offer a competitive salary, 25 days holiday, pension and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
• At least two years' experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring or electro-mechanical build.
• Ability to confidently interpret electrical drawings, circuit diagrams and wiring schematics.
• Experience carrying out electrical testing and fault diagnosis.
• IPC certification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire electrical systems using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Build and install electrical control panels into bespoke machinery.
• Carry out electrical testing, inspections and safety checks throughout the build process.
• Complete build documentation and test records accurately.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Technician who enjoys building, wiring and testing bespoke machinery within a clean, modern manufacturing environment. Working alongside skilled Mechanical, Test and Quality teams, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality products that meet exacting customer standards.

The role As an Electrical Technician, you will:

• Assemble and wire electrical systems using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Build and install electrical control panels into bespoke machinery.
• Carry out electrical testing, inspections and safety checks throughout the build process.
