Job summary

Holt Engineering is recruiting an experienced Electrical Technician for its expanding Poole manufacturing team. The role involves assembling and wiring electrical systems, building control panels, and conducting tests with a focus on quality and efficiency.

You will interpret drawings, perform safety checks, document builds, and contribute to continuous improvement with a collaborative production team. A completed electrical apprenticeship and 2+ years' relevant experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
• At least two years' experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring or electro-mechanical build.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, circuit diagrams and wiring schematics.
• Experience carrying out electrical testing and fault diagnosis.
• IPC certification would be advantageous.

The role

• Assemble and wire electrical systems using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Build and install electrical control panels into bespoke machinery.
• Carry out electrical testing, inspections and safety checks throughout the build process.
• Complete build documentation and test records accurately.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to achieve right-first-time builds.

What I'm looking for

• A completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
• At least two years' experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring or electro-mechanical build.
• The ability to confidently interpret electrical drawings, circuit diagrams and wiring schematics.
• Experience carrying out electrical testing and fault diagnosis.
• IPC certification would be advantageous.
