Job summary

Premier Placement Services is seeking an Electrical Technician for a production team in Stoke. You will join a specialist group responsible for build, installation, testing, and maintenance of high-voltage systems.

Key duties include installing and testing HV equipment, fault diagnostics, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and standards in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
• Proven experience with high-voltage electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage safety procedures.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Experience in regulated production/engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and maintain high-voltage equipment including converters, transformers, filters, and control systems.
• Carry out diagnostics and fault finding on high-voltage systems using specialist tools and test equipment.
• Support monitoring of system performance and assist with operational testing and control activities.
• Ensure all work complies with high-voltage safety procedures, technical standards, and environmental requirements.

Our client are a global leader in security scanning systems and currently experiencing high levels of growth. As such, they are seeking an additional Electrical Technician to join their production team at their Stoke facility.

As an Electrical Technician, you will be part of a specialist production and engineering team responsible for the build, installation, testing, and maintenance of high-voltage systems.

Duties

• Install, test, commission, and maintain high-voltage equipment including converters, transformers, filters, and control systems.
• Carry out diagnostics and fault finding on high-voltage systems using specialist tools and test equipment.
• Support monitoring of system performance and assist with operational testing and control activities.
• Ensure all work is completed in full compliance with high-voltage safety procedures, technical standards, and environmental requirements

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline is essential.
• Proven experience working with high-voltage electrical systems is essential.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage safety procedures, including switching and lockout/tagout is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals is essential.
• Experience working in a regulated production or engineering environment is essential.
