Electrical Maintenance Technician - Renewable Energy Plant

Are you a time served Electrical Maintenance Technician with experience in a heavy industrial environment? We are looking for an electrical maintenance technician to join a renewable energy plant in the Taunton area. The role involves carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and some control equipment to ensure plant reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of plant machinery
2. Diagnose and repair electrical plant - motors, drives, switchgear, PLC equipment etc
3. Minimise plant downtime by responding swiftly to faults
4. Maintain accurate service records and adhere to health and safety standards
5. Assist in continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency

Requirements

1. An electrical apprenticeship along with relevant qualifications e.g. NVQ level 3, City & Guilds, ONC etc.
2. Previous experience as a maintenance technician or engineer in a heavy industrial plant e.g. power plant, manufacturing, FMCG, paper mill etc
3. Competent in fault finding and maintaining electrical plant equipment
4. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
